The first book by Esther Kuhn
Esther Kuhn published her first book in 2023. It is about the film “The Piano Player” by the Austrian director Michael Haneke and the French actors Isabelle Huppert, Benoit Magimel and Annie Girardot. The film is based on the novel by the Austrian writer Elfriede Jelinek.

The book deals with the process of creating the film, its production and its reception. Included are interviews with Michael Haneke (director), Markus Schleinzer (casting), Christian Berger (camera) and other employees of the film.
With this diploma thesis, the author Esther Kuhn completed her studies at the University of Vienna with distinction.

As an actress and author, Esther Kuhn is pleased to have published her second book - 'Format television and the financing of public broadcasting in Austria, the ORF'.
This work examines the ORF's program structure. The starting point is Mirijam Meckel's text "The New Clarity. On the Development of Format Television in Germany", in which essential points about the nature of format television are described.
